Myth: The Good Place
Past Life Information: Janet was a Good Place Janet used by a demon in his plan to find a new way to torture humans. She's not a robot, not a girl, but does know literally everything. Through the many (many, many, MANY) reboots of the neighborhood, Janet was refreshed over and over, which made her evolve past any other Janet in Good, Bad, or Middle history. She got married, fell in love, had many complications, and found true friendship. She also created a boyfriend once out of jealousy, but she ended up banishing him to her endless void before giving him as a bribe for use of the Middle Place. You know, as you do.

Occupation: Personal assistant to a truly bananas local writer
Personality: Happy's name is perfectly suited. She is here to make friends, thanks! More to the point, she has a kind of *shrug, fuck it* mentality. Life can be hard and it can be weird, and all you can do is roll with the punches and keep on going. She's a natural caretaker with a love of gossip and having a good time. She's there if you need to bury the body or throw a Molotov or what-the-fuck-ever, basking in the utter chaos with an infectious laugh. She's pretty level-headed, but boy does she love to be crazy-adjacent.
Background: Happy and her younger sister, Irene, are the children of a divorced couple (and are both adopted, but that's another can of worms). It wasn't an unhappy childhood by any means, but there was constant shuffling around between homes and lives, and the two became incredibly close as a result. Irene is her best friend, honestly, and as adults they live together.
Happy was a pretty easy-going kid, smoothing over any issues her sister had and throwing her weight around if and when she really had to. She's pretty much always been down for anything, and hopped around from one weird job to the next until she met this wonderfully over-the-top gothic romance author in a graveyard one night. (Don't ask.) (Actually, do ask: Happy loves telling a good story.) She helped the poor woman home and kind of ended up never leaving. She works as her personal assistant, doing a ton of insane shit for pretty decent money. It's endlessly entertaining, so she's content to play along, meanwhile encouraging her sister to follow her dreams.
